The Initial Meeting with the Austin Estate Planning
and Probate Attorney
The first meeting includes the gathering of data for estate planning
recommendations.
The initial consultation is always complimentary and
confidential. This initial consultation is a way for you and our firm to
get to know each other better. It gives us an opportunity to discuss and
learn about your concerns, needs, and goals. Together we assess that
information to form a strategy that best fits your unique situation;
whether you are a doctor or business owner who needs asset protection, a
family planning for the future, you have small children you need to
protect by naming guardians, a spouse who has just been widowed, or an
elderly couple facing the reality of needing Medicaid. Most importantly,
we will address your questions so that you can make these important
decisions as informed decisions:
- What is your greatest concern for what would
happen to your family if something were to happen to you?
- Do you know exactly what would happen to your
family if you didn't wake up tomorrow?
- Do you know exactly what happen to your
family if you became permanently disabled tomorrow?
Firm Fees
We prefer "project fees" for our planning work.
This is also called "value billing" this way you, the client, is assured that the work will not exceed the costs
incurred by billing on an hourly basis. It also gives our clients
the comfort of knowing that they can call us at any time and not worry
that it will be a "billable" event. Our fee quotation in any area is for a complete fee
necessary to complete the work we mutually decide upon, in the time
frame that you need and with the tax planning and other protections for
you and is usually
agreed upon in the intital design meeting.
